Cressida is a personal voice assistant for Mac and iPhone, currently in development. This policy explains what data Cressida and this website handle, where it goes, and the choices you have. We’ll update it before Cressida is publicly released, and whenever what we do with data changes.
This website
cressida.me doesn’t use cookies, analytics or trackers, and doesn’t collect any personal information. If you email us, we use your message only to reply to you.
What the Cressida app handles
- Your voice. When you talk to Cressida, your speech is recorded so it can be understood.
- Your requests and her replies, such as the reminders you set and the questions you ask.
- Things you choose to connect, such as your calendar, reminders or email. Cressida only accesses these after you grant permission, and you can revoke it at any time in your device’s settings.
- Memories: details you tell her so she can help you later. You control what she remembers.
Where your data goes
Your settings, memories and conversation history are stored on your own devices. To understand you and reply, Cressida sends some data to these service providers:
- OpenAI — your voice recordings and requests, to transcribe speech, generate replies and produce Cressida’s voice. OpenAI processes this data under its API terms and doesn’t use it to train its models by default.
- Google — short audio clips on Mac, to detect when you interrupt Cressida while she’s speaking.
- Apple — when you connect Calendar, Reminders or other Apple services, that data stays within Apple’s frameworks on your device.
We don’t sell your data, share it for advertising, or use it for anything other than running Cressida for you.
Deleting your data
You can delete Cressida’s memories and history at any time, and deleting the app removes the data it stored on your device. To ask about anything we hold, email dev@cressida.me and we’ll help.
Children
Cressida isn’t intended for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect data from them.
